Job summary

Oscar Health is hiring a Sr. Analyst for Authorization Services Design & Configuration. This fully remote role, open to US residents, will architect medical management workflows in the UM system and translate complex requirements into automated logic.

You’ll educate partners across Product, Clinical, and Regulatory and drive process improvements through testing and documentation. With base pay between $67,813 and $89,005 annually, you’ll also be eligible for benefits, unlimited vacation, and

Qualifications

• 2+ years in system configuration or rules management.
• 2+ years in a technical/operational role with root-cause analysis.
• Proficient Excel/Sheets for data manipulation.
• Experience with healthcare payer/provider domain preferred.
• Ability to translate requirements into technical specifications and implement them.

Responsibilities

• Manage the configuration and maintenance of authorization workflows, rulesets, and automations within the UM platform.
• Translate business requirements into precise technical specifications and ensure accurate implementation.
• Investigate and resolve escalations by performing root cause analysis on system behavior and configuration gaps.
• Identify friction points in the authorization process and document opportunities for workflow improvement and automation.
• Serve as the subject matter expert for the UM system and educate cross-functional teams.
• Develop testing protocols and run scenarios to validate system behavior and configuration accuracy.
• Manage assigned caseloads and project tasks via dashboards and prioritization.
• Maintain thorough documentation of all business rules, specs, and designs.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
