Oscar Health is seeking a Sr. Analyst for Authorization Services Design & Configuration to architect medical management workflows within our UM system and translate complex requirements into automated rules.

This remote role welcomes candidates in Dallas, TX area, with potential hybrid evolution in the future. You will act as the SME for the UM platform, educate partners across Product, Clinical, and Regulatory, and drive testing, documentation, and continuous improvement.

Formación

• 2+ years in system configuration or rules management.
• 2+ years in a technical/operational role with root-cause analysis.
• Advanced Excel/Google Sheets (lookups, pivots).
• Experience assessing end-to-end process impacts in complex tech environments.
• Strong communication to explain technical logic to non-technical partners.
• 1+ year healthcare industry experience (payer or provider).
• Prior work in Prior Authorizations or Insurance Operations.
• 2+ years SQL, BigQuery or similar.
• Experience with JIRA, Linear, and Slack.
• Experience working with large datasets and data verification.

Responsabilidades

• Manage the configuration and maintenance of authorization workflows, rulesets, and automations within the UM platform.
• Translate business requirements into precise technical specifications, ensuring rules are accurately represented, tested, and implemented.
• Investigate and resolve escalations by performing root cause analysis on system behavior and gaps.
• Identify friction points in the authorization process and document opportunities for automation.
• Be the SME for the UM system and educate cross-functional teams on configuration impact.
• Develop testing protocols and validate system behavior; lead corrective activities.
• Manage assigned caseloads and project tasks via dashboards and prioritization.
• Maintain documentation of all business rules, technical specs, and workflow designs.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
