Oscar is hiring a Sr. Analyst for Authorization Services Design & Configuration. You will architect medical management workflows within the UM system and translate complex requirements into automated logic.

The role focuses on end-to-end process improvements and educating cross-functional partners on configuration impacts. The position is remote, open to US-based candidates, with potential future hybrid options in the metro area.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in system configuration or technical workflow design.
• 2+ years in a technical/operational role involving root-cause analysis and data troubleshooting.
• Strong communication skills to explain complex logic to non-technical partners.
• 1+ year in the healthcare industry (payer or provider).

Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain authorization workflows, rulesets, and automations in the UM platform.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and ensure accurate implementation.
• Investigate escalations and perform root cause analysis on system behavior.
• Identify friction points and document opportunities for automation and workflow improvements.
• Educate cross-functional teams on how configuration impacts operations.
• Develop testing protocols and validate configurations; lead corrective activities when needed.
• Manage caseloads and project tasks via dashboards and prioritization.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of business rules, specs, and designs.
