Cherry Bekaert Recruiting & Staffing seeks an experienced Senior Accounting Consultant to support a corporate, private equity-backed organization. This remote consulting role requires hands-on accounting expertise to quickly integrate with the finance team and own key accounting functions for accurate, timely financial reporting.

The position involves month-end to year-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and analysis, with opportunities to optimize processes, policies, and controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment

Responsibilities

• Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
• Prepare and review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and supporting schedules
• Assist with the preparation and analysis of financial statements and management reporting
• Research and resolve complex accounting and general ledger matters
• Support external audit requests and preparation of audit schedules
• Maintain and strengthen accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting, and close efficiency
• Partner with finance leadership on accounting initiatives and special projects
• Support system implementations, integrations, accounting cleanup, and process improvement initiatives as needed

Education
