Cherry Bekaert Recruiting & Staffing is seeking an experienced Senior Accounting Consultant to support a corporate, private equity-backed organization in a remote, contract capacity. You will own key accounting functions and help drive accurate, timely financial reporting within a collaborative finance team.

The ideal candidate has strong US GAAP knowledge, experience with month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and ERP systems, plus CPA and/or public accounting experience.

Qualifications

• Progressive accounting experience within a corporate environment.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience with month-end close, general ledger accounting, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Experience supporting audits and maintaining internal controls.
• Experience with ERP implementations, M&A integration, or finance transformation is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
• Prepare and review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and supporting schedules
• Assist with the preparation and analysis of financial statements and management reporting
• Research and resolve complex accounting and general ledger matters
• Support external audit requests and audit schedules
• Maintain and strengthen accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting, and close efficiency
• Partner with finance leadership on accounting initiatives and special projects
• Support system implementations, integrations, accounting cleanup, and process improvement initiatives as needed
