Cherry Bekaert Recruiting & Staffing seeks a Senior Accounting Consultant for a remote engagement with a corporate, private equity–backed organization. You will own key accounting functions and drive accurate, timely financial reporting while quickly integrating with the finance team.

Responsibilities include month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, financial statement analysis, audit support, and strengthening internal controls. CPA or public accounting experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Progressive accounting experience within a corporate environment.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience with month-end close, GL accounting, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Experience supporting audits and maintaining internal controls.
• CPA and/or public accounting experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Prepare and review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and supporting schedules.
• Assist with the preparation and analysis of financial statements and management reporting.
• Research and resolve complex accounting and general ledger matters.
• Support external audit requests and preparation of audit schedules.
• Maintain and strengthen accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting, and close efficiency.
• Partner with finance leadership on accounting initiatives and special projects.
• Support system implementations, integrations, accounting cleanup, and process improvement initiatives as needed.
