Ladder is seeking a Senior Accountant - Financial Reporting to join our Finance team. You will report to the Senior Director of Accounting Policy, Reporting and Functional Enablement and collaborate with teams across the company.

The role centers on monthly close, US GAAP reporting, and policy implementation in a fast-growing life insurance tech environment. The ideal candidate has strong Excel skills, 3+ years in financial reporting or public accounting, and a CPA or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent.
• CPA preferred or relevant public accounting experience.
• 3+ years of financial reporting, public accounting or audit experience.
• Advanced Excel and large data set skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of US GAAP and financial statement preparation.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly US GAAP reporting and disclosures for close and budgeting.
• Prepare annual financial statements with workpapers.
• Research new accounting standards and draft memos.
• Conduct contract reviews and coordinate implementation actions.
• Ensure accounting compliance with current US GAAP and industry standards.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax teams for audits.
• Identify process improvements to scale reporting functions.
• Participate in ad hoc finance projects and system enhancements.
