Job summary

The Bolton Group is seeking a Senior Accountant to support month-end close, financial reporting, and broad accounting operations in a fast-paced environment. You will lead close processes, perform reconciliations, and assist with budgeting and variance analysis while ensuring GAAP compliance.

The role requires 3–7 years of progressive accounting experience, solid Excel skills, and ERP system proficiency. This position is based in Charlotte, NC, with high visibility and opportunities for process

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3–7 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a Senior Accountant capacity.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and financial reporting experience.
• ERP system proficiency and strong Excel skills.
• Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to thrive in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead core Senior Accountant functions including month-end close, journal entries, and financial statement preparation
• Perform detailed account reconciliations and maintain general ledger accuracy
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Assist with AP/AR oversight and payroll review as needed
• Strengthen internal controls and ensure GAAP compliance
• Partner with leadership on reporting, analysis, and workflow enhancements
• Support audits, tax filings, and external reporting requirements
