Job summary

NANA Regional Corporation, Inc. is seeking a Remote Security Officer for deployment to remote Alaska sites. You will patrol, monitor, control access, respond to emergencies, and maintain safety, health, and security for clients.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, Alaska guard licenses or equivalents, and ability to live in dormitory settings on a 2 week on/off rotation. English proficiency is mandatory.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of full-time security, law enforcement, or military experience (explicit in ad).
• Valid driver's license with clean record for past 3 years.
• Must obtain Alaska Guard License before starting.
• Must obtain Alaska Armed Guard License on hire.
• Eligible for certifications such as TWIC, ATF Explosive Possessor card, etc.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and contract-specific software.
• Pre-employment checks required (background, drug test, physical, fit-for-duty, hearing).
• Residence in dormitory-style remote camp may be required.
• Must be able to work 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off and stand for long shifts.

Responsibilities

• Personally monitors and patrols assigned buildings or grounds.
• Controls entry, permits only authorized individuals.
• Inspects doors, windows, and gates for security.
• Records incidents and property data.
• Responds to emergencies to preserve life and property.
• Operates access control systems and maintains visitor lists.
• Collaborates with on-site teams to ensure safety and security.
• Must be able to work in remote camp environments.
