Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of three (3) years of full-time professional experience in security, law enforcement, or military service.
• Ability to obtain Alaska Guard License prior to employment; applicant covers licensing fee.
• Must obtain and maintain State of Alaska Armed Guard License on hire.
• Must demonstrate safe handgun handling and pass firearms qualification as per contract requirements.
• Must pass pre-employment checks including background, drug screen, medical, and fitness assessments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine armed security patrols of buildings, facilities, and grounds.
• Control access by verifying IDs and authorizing entry.
• Inspect doors, windows, gates, and other access points and report deficiencies.
• Document and report incidents, damages, and safety hazards.
• Enforce policies and remove unauthorized persons when needed.
• Coordinate visitor access and notify personnel of visitors as required.
• Respond to alarms, emergencies, and medical incidents to protect lives and property.
• Operate electronic access control systems and maintain records.
