Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of ten years of full-time professional security experience.
• Minimum of five years of supervisory or leadership experience.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record for past three years.
• Ability to obtain Alaska Guard License prior to employment.
• Must obtain and maintain State of Alaska Armed Guard License.
• Experience developing and delivering security training; ICS knowledge preferred.
• Proficiency with Incident Command System (ICS) concepts; FEMA ICS/NIMS coursework preferred.
• Must reside near Alaska; remote dorm accommodations may be required.
• Ability to pass pre-employment screenings including drug, medical, and fitness tests.
• Proficiency in English (read/write/speak) as contract requires.
• Two weeks on/two weeks off schedule; ability to work in Arctic conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assign security personnel to posts and patrols with proper staffing and coverage.
• Supervise daily security operations and ensure compliance with client requirements and SOPs.
• Enforce security policies, procedures, and contract requirements.
• Understand operational and client needs and document processes.
• Translate requirements into functional workflows with documentation.
• Prepare employee work schedules and review leave requests.
• Maintain communication with clients to improve service delivery.
• Review and investigate incident reports and other documentation.
• Complete and maintain administrative records and reports.
• Conduct security investigations and recommend corrective actions.
• Review property damage and safety reports to determine responses.
• Coordinate with client representatives, law enforcement, and regulators as needed.
• Update post orders, emergency procedures, and docs.
• Participate in on-call rotations; respond to issues after hours.
• Serve as Incident Commander or ICS role during emergencies.
• Provide transportation services with vehicles from cars to buses and off-road vehicles.
• Provide emergency medical response within training scope (CPR/AED/first aid).
• Report unsafe conditions and coordinate corrective actions.
• Mentor and develop security personnel; promote professional culture.
• Perform other duties to support department objectives.
