Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Security Architect II to translate compliance guidelines into business requirements and technical specifications for Akamai's web-scale platforms.

You will collaborate with sales, PM, engineering, and support to ensure security obligations are met and risks are mitigated throughout integration and go-live processes. The role supports customers in achieving security objectives and fine-tuning controls for optimal protection, with telecommuting from anywhere

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related fields.
• Completion of university-level coursework or projects involving network monitoring, threat detection, log analysis, and TCP/IP.
• Experience or coursework in DDoS detection/mitigation, ACLs, security incident handling, and incident reporting.

Responsibilities

• Transform compliance guidelines into business requirements, technical specs, and security frameworks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to understand Akamai web-scale systems and guide security obligations.
• Help customers meet security objectives and fine-tune controls for optimal protection.
• Partner with sales, PM, engineering, and support to own integration security aspects and go-live steps.
• Identify and mitigate risks during implementation and deployment.
