Job summary

You will translate compliance guidelines into business requirements and technical specs, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and guide internal and external assessors to meet security obligations. You’ll own technical integration steps and help clients achieve optimal protection levels.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in a relevant field.
• Experience in network traffic monitoring and analysis.
• Experience with DDoS detection and mitigation.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP protocol suite (TCP, UDP, DNS, HTTP/S, SSH, NTP, IPsec).
• Access Control Lists (ACLs) configuration experience.
• Security incident monitoring and escalation.
• Log analysis and alert triage.
• Threat detection and analysis.
• Incident documentation and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Turn compliance guidelines into business requirements, technical specs and frameworks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to understand Akamai systems and guide security obligations.
• Help customers achieve security objectives and fine-tune controls.
• Partner with sales, project management, support and engineering to support deployment and live runs.
• Take ownership for technical integration steps and risk mitigation. Telecommuting permitted from anywhere in the United States.
