Qualifications

• Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Security, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Telecommunication Networks, Information Systems, or IT.
• Coursework or project work in network traffic monitoring and analysis; DDoS detection and mitigation; TCP/IP protocols; ACLs; log analysis and incident reporting.
• Knowledge of security incident monitoring, threat detection and incident escalation.

Responsibilities

• Turn compliance guidelines into business requirements, technical specifications, and frameworks for internal teams and external assessors.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to understand Akamai web‑scale systems and guide the company to meet security obligations.
• Help customers achieve security objectives and fine‑tune controls for optimal protection levels.
• Partner with sales, project managers, technical support and engineering.
• Take ownership of technical aspects of integration and support steps to go live, identifying and mitigating risks.

Education
