Job summary

Ntiva, Inc. is seeking a Security Analyst I to act as the first line of defense against cyber threats. You will swiftly respond to security alerts, investigate potential malicious activity, secure compromised accounts, and review change activity to prevent or minimize events.

This is a remote position with occasional travel; work hours include CST night shifts after training. You will monitor dashboards, perform investigations, and collaborate with the security team to ensure client data safety

Qualifications

• 3-5 years in an IT role including log analysis, account/access management, or endpoint troubleshooting.
• Hands-on exposure to at least one EDR/SIEM platform (e.g., SentinelOne, CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Sentinel).
• Direct hands-on experience using ConnectWise Manage for ticket documentation, with timestamped incident notes.
• Must have practical familiarity with at least one: SIEM log correlation, Windows Event Viewer security IDs (4624/4625/4648), or ticketing-alert queue.
• Passion for delivering outstanding customer service and strong written/spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Act as the first line of defense against cyber threats and respond to security alerts.
• Conduct initial investigations, secure accounts, and gather log data for analysis.
• Review changes to security tools and implement routine adjustments.
• Collaborate with security engineers and analysts to coordinate incident responses.
• Communicate with users/clients to explain security procedures and resolutions.
