Ntiva is seeking a Security Analyst I to join our experienced cybersecurity team. You’ll be the first line of defense, responding to alerts, investigating activity, securing accounts, and logging actions to protect client data.

The role blends hands-on security operations with customer-focused incident resolution in a fast-paced environment. Work is remote with occasional travel to Ntiva Centers of Excellence as needed; schedule includes a rotating on-call element after training.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in cybersecurity.
• 3-5 years in an IT role including log analysis, account/access management, or endpoint troubleshooting.
• This is a full-time role requiring your full alertness and reliable attendance during scheduled hours.
• CySA+, GCIH, or SC-200 (or actively pursuing).
• Hands-on exposure to at least one EDR/SIEM platform (e.g., SentinelOne, CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Sentinel).
• Direct hands-on experience using ConnectWise Manage for ticket documentation.
• Must have practical familiarity with at least one of: SIEM log correlation, Windows Event Viewer (Security log IDs like 4624/4625/4648), or a ticketing-based alert queue.
• Strong customer service mindset and ability to adapt to evolving technology trends.
• Proficient communication with managers, clients, and the general public.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and investigate security dashboards, queues, and alerts to detect potential threats.
• Conduct initial investigations, secure user accounts, and collect log data for analysis.
• Escalate complex cases to Level 2 Analysts with clear information.
• Review and implement changes to security tools and process client exemptions in the EDR.
• Collaborate with the security team to share information and participate in discussions.
• Engage with end-users or clients to gather details and provide guidance during incident resolution.
• Liaise with other teams to coordinate security responses.
• Document investigations, actions, communications, and resolutions in ConnectWise.
• Provide timely and helpful security-related support.
