Job summary

Vaco by Highspring is seeking a SEC Reporting Consultant for a fully remote engagement of approximately 12 to 18 months. The role supports external financial reporting and regulatory filing activities for a publicly traded company.

You will review annual filings, statements, footnotes, and schedules, identify disclosure gaps, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver accurate, filing-ready materials. Strong US GAAP knowledge and public accounting experience are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in public accounting, SEC reporting, financial reporting, or a related function.
• Hands-on experience preparing or reviewing SEC filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, or comparable regulatory filings.
• Strong technical accounting and U.S. GAAP financial reporting knowledge.
• Public accounting experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to work independently, maintain exceptional attention to detail, and deliver accurate work within compressed reporting timelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed reviews of annual financial filings and related disclosures for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance
• Review financial statements, footnotes, supporting schedules, and other external reporting materials
• Identify inconsistencies, disclosure gaps, and technical accounting considerations requiring further analysis
• Partner with internal stakeholders to resolve reporting matters and incorporate feedback into final deliverables
• Support the preparation and review of additional regulatory reporting and shareholder-facing materials
• Apply technical accounting and financial reporting knowledge to ensure deliverables are complete, accurate, and filing‑ready
