Job summary

Vaco by Highspring is seeking a Manager or Senior Manager of SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting in a hybrid role with in-office days in the San Francisco Peninsula area. You will lead regulatory filings, oversee technical accounting activities, and partner with Finance, Legal, FP&A, IR, and external auditors to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting and public-company experience
• Hands-on experience preparing and reviewing SEC filings, financial statements, disclosures, and related reporting documents
• Strong technical accounting knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, and complex transaction research
• Excellent project management, analytical, written communication, and stakeholder-partnering skills

Responsibilities

• Manage internal and external financial reporting, including regulatory filings and leadership reporting packages
• Prepare and review quarterly and annual financial statements and disclosures under U.S. GAAP
• Draft disclosures and memoranda for complex accounting matters
• Monitor new accounting standards and lead related implementations
• Research complex accounting issues and prepare technical memoranda
• Evaluate accounting matters involving acquisitions, debt, impairments, restructurings, investments, and leases
• Coordinate multiple reporting and technical workstreams to meet deadlines
• Partner with internal teams, legal counsel, and external auditors
• Develop and improve accounting policies, procedures, controls, and compliance
• Manage and mentor a financial reporting team member and support special projects
