Job summary

Savista, LLC is seeking a Coder for Same Day Surgery and Observation coding in a remote US role. The coder will review clinical documentation to assign diagnoses and procedures for hospital data used in billing and reimbursement.

The role requires AHIMA or AAPC credentials, two years of hands-on coding experience, and active CCS/CCS-P/CPC-type credentials. You will collaborate with clients and Savista teams to ensure accurate, compliant coding.

Qualifications

• Active AHIMA or AAPC credential is required.
• Minimum of two years of hands-on coding experience.
• Active CCS, CCA, CCS-P, COC, CPC, CPC-A, RHIT or RHIA credential required.

Responsibilities

• Code Same Day Surgery and Observation records in an acute care facility.
• Code ED, Anesthesia and I&I for facility side.
• Abstract clinical data for accurate billing/reimbursement.
• Collaborate in client and Savista meetings and training sessions.
• Maintain current coding knowledge for client assignments.
• Perform other related duties as required.
