Savista is seeking an Outpatient Facility Coder to review documentation, assign ICD-10-CM codes, and ensure accurate surgical CPT coding for hospital-based claims. The role also supports APC calculations, data abstraction, and edits to coding-related claims scrubber logic in collaboration with client staff.
Qualified candidates hold an active AHIMA or AAPC credential, have at least one year of relevant coding experience, and can demonstrate a passing EPIC/Optum pre-employment test.

The Outpatient Facility Coder reviews documentation to code diagnoses and surgical CPT procedures for hospital-based claims and data needs. For physician-based claims and data needs, the Coding Specialist II reviews documentation to code diagnoses, EM level, and surgical CPT procedures. Additionally, this role also validates APC calculations, abstracts clinical data, mitigates diagnosis, EM level, and/or surgical CPT coding-related claims scrubber edits, and may interact with client staff and providers.
Savista is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $28.00 - $30.00 an hour. However, specific compensation for the role will vary within the above range based on many factors including but not limited to geographic location, candidate experience, applicable certifications, and skills.
