Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking a Software Developer in Test (SDET) for a remote, full-time role within the Veterans Affairs department. The ideal candidate has strong programming skills (C#, Java, Python) and solid experience in manual and automated testing.

This position requires a Public Trust (MBI) clearance and offers a salary range of $85,389 to $116,975. Ten or more years in software testing and QA are preferred, with US citizenship being a typical requirement.

Qualificações

• Experience with both manual and automated testing.
• Strong programming skills in C#, Java, or Python.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum and SDLC.
• Proficiency in writing and executing test cases, test scripts, and test plans.
• Knowledge of test automation frameworks and tools.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and version control.
• Knowledge of databases and SQL for validating stored data.
• Experience in testing web apps and APIs.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and procedures to ensure information systems meet standards.
• Write test scripts and identify data for test scenarios.
• Conduct walkthroughs with Test Managers and Developers.
• Perform tests and verify operation and defect-free software.
• Document and communicate test results to stakeholders.
• Support analysis of test results and resolution of issues.
• Create daily test metrics and reporting.
• Coordinate with IT teams on requirements, design, installation, and support.
