Syms Strategic Group, LLC is seeking a talented Software Developer in Test (SDET) to join our Veterans Affairs (VA) department in a fully remote capacity. The role requires strong programming skills in C#, .NET, Java, or Python and extensive experience with test automation and QA practices.

You will develop and execute test plans, write test cases, participate in reviews, and drive CI/CD improvements. A Public Trust (MBI) clearance and 10+ years in software testing are preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Strong programming in C#, Java, or Python.
• Proven track record on complex software projects delivering quality.
• Experience in both manual and automated testing.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum and SDLC.
• Ability to write and execute test cases, scripts, and plans.
• Knowledge of test automation frameworks and tools.
• Experience with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions.
• Familiarity with version control (Git, Subversion).
• Understanding of performance testing (JMeter, Gatling).
• Experience with JIRA/Bugzilla defect tracking.
• Knowledge of SQL for validating data.
• Testing of web APIs and services.

Aufgaben

• Develop and execute test plans, cases, and procedures to meet standards.
• Write test cases/scripts and identify data for tests.
• Lead test activities with stakeholders and manage test progress.
• Document and communicate test results and metrics.
• Support analysis and resolution of issues and defects.
• Perform IT systems engineering activities as needed.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes.
