Job summary

Pearson is recruiting remote scorers to evaluate responses for Florida teacher candidates. Requires a bachelor’s degree and a valid teaching certificate with 5+ years of public school experience, or equivalent college/university experience in the subject area.

Positions start in Fall 2026, are remote, with sessions Mon-Fri and a typical 8:30 AM–4:30 PM EST window. Fortune 500-scale education company offering flexible, contract-based work opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in the subject area.
  • Current teaching certification in the subject area and at least 5 years’ recent public school experience.
  • Or hold/have held a position at a college/university in the same subject area with at least 5 years of teaching in that subject.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate responses to test questions by Florida teacher candidates.
  • Internalize scoring standards, participate in discussions, and engage with other scorers in scoring activities.
  • Meet quality and productivity requirements established for the scoring program, including passing a qualifying test.
  • Starting rate of $17.50 per hour.
  • Scoring sessions are remote, weekdays 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM EST; one scoring day every 2 weeks.
