Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Specialist, Scoring Content and Quality for a fully remote role based in the United States. You will own project-level content and quality, guide Scoring Directors and Supervisors, and ensure alignment with client expectations on ELA and Social Studies scoring tasks.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in English, Social Sciences, or Humanities, two years in assessment scoring leadership, and strong communication and Microsoft Office skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English, Social Sciences, or Humanities is required.
• Two years of assessment industry experience as a Scoring Director or equivalent lead role.
• Experience leading remote scoring teams in multiple ELA/Social Studies projects.
• Strong working knowledge of scoring reports and data-driven management.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Strong technology skills, including Microsoft Office and video conferencing tools.

Responsibilities

• Project Execution: Owning content and quality deliverables from start-up through post-project analysis.
• Training and Development: Developing and delivering item-specific training to mentor Scoring Directors, Supervisors, and Scorers on project content and quality expectations.
• Content Expertise: Applying knowledge of state and national standards for ELA and Social Studies to guide scoring materials and serve as SME in client/educator meetings.
• Communication and Logistics: Ensuring daily clear communication with internal teams and external clients to foster alignment and a strong team environment.
