Pearson invites qualified educators to join Evaluation Systems of Pearson as an Associate, Scoring Services, working remotely on Massachusetts license tests across Dance, Digital Literacy & Computer Science, History, Music, Technology Engineering and Theater.

A bachelor’s degree and current teaching certification in the subject area, plus recent public school experience, are required. Training is provided; scoring occurs remotely on weekdays with occasional training sessions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
• Current teaching certification in the subject area and active or recent public school experience (2+ years).
• Alternative: college/university faculty member preparing candidates for the subject, or graduate student teaching courses in the subject.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate responses to test questions by Massachusetts teacher candidates.
• Internalize scoring standards and participate in consensus scoring with other scorers.
• Meet quality and productivity requirements and pass a qualifying test before scoring.
• Score remotely, following the posted hours and schedule.
