Job summary

SOLV Energy in the United States is seeking a Senior Commissioning Technician to support pre-commissioning and commissioning of SCADA and site communications for utility-scale solar projects. This role is fully remote with regular travel to various job sites.

You will interpret commissioning plans, conduct tests, coordinate with engineering, construction, QA, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance while delivering detailed reports and continuous process improvements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of commissioning utility-scale solar projects.
• Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, inverters, and electrical infrastructure.
• Experience with networking and communications systems for field deployments.
• Ability to read Electrical and Mechanical Drawings/Schematics.
• Excellent communication, organization, and safety-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and implement site commissioning plans and schedules.
• Coordinate with engineering, construction, QA, SCADA teams for alignment.
• Conduct pre-commissioning and commissioning tests including performance and reliability testing.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety protocols, and environmental regulations.
• Troubleshoot issues to optimize SCADA and site communications.
• Produce detailed commissioning reports documenting results and corrective actions.
