Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a commissioning professional to support pre-commissioning and commissioning of SCADA and communications for utility-scale solar projects across the United States. The role is fully remote with regular travel to job sites; discuss location expectations during interview.

Requirements include 3–5 years in commissioning solar power projects, strong networking and electrical knowledge, and a proactive problem-solving approach.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, inverters, transformers and electrical infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of networking and communications systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
• Ability to interpret Electrical and Mechanical Drawings/ Schematics.
• Familiarity with safety standards and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and implement site commissioning plans and schedules.
• Coordinate with engineering, construction, and QA/SCADA teams for commissioning activities.
• Perform pre-commissioning and commissioning tests for communications systems.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety protocols and regulations.
• Troubleshoot issues to optimize SCADA and site communications performance.
• Document test results and corrective actions in commissioning reports.
• Support safety programs and ensure compliance with Lockout/Tagout procedures.
• Lead by example with a safety- and quality-oriented attitude.
