Job summary

SMX is hiring a Data Integration Specialist to design, develop, and maintain data pipelines connecting client source systems to a new budgeting and forecasting platform. This full-time, 100% remote role requires US citizenship and may involve <20% travel, with a Public Trust clearance.

You will work with SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP HANA, S4HANA, BW/4HANA, and BTP to ensure data flows are secure, accurate, and timely, delivering value through robust data integration and analytics capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in data integration, CDS view development, ETL development, or data engineering.
• Proficiency with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), SAP HANA, SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW/4HANA and SAP BW.
• Experience with SAP Data Services, SAP BTP.
• Strong data analytics, BI, and reporting.
• Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance (US Citizenship).
• Familiarity with SAC, BW-IP or BPC.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines to extract financial data from source systems and load into the budgeting solution.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze data structures and business rules in SAP and government systems.
• Write and execute CDS views and SQL scripts to transform, cleanse, and validate data.
• Implement data quality checks, validation, and reconciliation processes.
• Monitor and optimize data pipelines to meet processing windows and SLAs.
• Work with PMs, architects, consultants, and SMEs to align integration design with goals.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and SOPs.
