Job summary

SMX is seeking a Data Integration Specialist to design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines linking client source systems to a new budgeting platform. The role requires SAP SAC/HANA expertise, CDS view development, and strong data analytics capabilities.

The position is 100% remote in the United States with <20% travel and requires US citizenship for Public Trust clearance. Applicants should have 5+ years of data integration experience and a bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Qualifications

• Must have a bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in data integration, CDS View development, ETL/ELT, or data engineering.
• Proficient in CDS, SQL, and relational databases (e.g., SAP HANA, SQL Server, Oracle).
• Experience with SAC, S/4HANA sources, and loading data into models.
• Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance; US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for financial data.
• Analyze source systems (e.g., SAP) to understand structures and rules.
• Write CDS views, SQL, and scripts to transform and validate data.
• Implement data quality checks and reconciliation processes.
• Troubleshoot pipeline issues and optimize performance.
• Collaborate with project teams to align integration with goals.
• Create and maintain technical docs and SOPs.
