Job summary

SMX is seeking a Data Integration Specialist to design, develop, and maintain data pipelines connecting source financial systems to a new budget solution. This full-time, 100% remote role requires minimal travel (<20%) and US Public Trust clearance.

You will bridge raw financial data with actionable insights, leveraging SAP SAC/HANA/S4HANA, CDS views, and SQL to ensure data integrity and timely delivery. Collaboration with SMEs and architects is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in data integration, CDS View development, ETL development, or data engineering.
• Proficiency with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), SAP HANA, SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW/4HANA and SAP BW.
• Data analytics, business intelligence, and reporting.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Must obtain Public Trust clearance (US Citizenship).

Responsibilities

• Data Pipeline Development: Design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines to load data into the budget solution.
• Source System Analysis: Analyze data from SAP systems and government data to understand structures and rules.
• Data Mapping & Transformation: Write CDS views and SQL scripts to transform and cleanse data.
• Data Quality Assurance: Implement data quality checks and reconciliation processes.
• Troubleshooting & Performance Tuning: Monitor and optimize data pipelines to meet SLAs.
• Collaboration: Work with project managers, architects, consultants, and SMEs.
• Documentation: Create technical docs and SOPs.
