Job summary

SMX is seeking a Data Integration Specialist to design, develop, and maintain data pipelines that connect client source financial systems to a new budgeting and forecasting platform. This full-time, 100% remote role requires minimal travel (<20%) and a US Public Trust clearance.

You will work with SAP SAC, SAP HANA, and S/4HANA, building scalable ETL/ELT processes, ensuring data quality, and delivering reliable data flows for finance teams and stakeholders across the project.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data integration, CDS/ETL, or data engineering.
• Proficiency writing CDS and SQL with relational databases (SAP HANA, SQL Server, Oracle).
• Experience with SAC and S/4HANA source systems.
• Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance; US Citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for financial data.
• Analyze source data from SAP S/4HANA and other government systems.
• Create and manage data mappings; write CDS views and SQL scripts.
• Implement data quality checks and reconciliation processes.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipelines to meet SLAs.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, functional consultants, and client SMEs.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and SOPs.
