Job summary

SMX is seeking a highly skilled Data Integration Specialist to join our team of technical and domain experts. This full-time, 100% remote role supports a new enterprise-wide budget solution for a key client, with minimal travel and a Public Trust clearance.

You will design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines, work with SAP S/4HANA, SAC, HANA, and CDS views, and ensure data quality, security, and timely delivery while collaborating with project managers and client SMEs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 5+ years hands-on data integration, CDS view development, ETL, or data engineering.
• Proficiency with CDS, SQL and relational databases (SAP HANA, SQL Server, Oracle).
• Experience loading data into SAC and S/4HANA source systems; familiarity with SAP data tools.
• Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance (US Citizenship).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain robust ETL/ELT data pipelines from source systems to the budget solution.
• Analyze source data from SAP and government finance systems; map data structures and rules.
• Create and manage data mappings; write CDS views, SQL scripts to transform and validate data.
• Implement data quality checks, validation, and reconciliation processes.
• Troubleshoot failures and optimize pipeline performance; ensure timely processing.
• Collaborate with project managers, solution architects, consultants, and client SMEs.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation including data flow diagrams and SOPs.
