Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a quality and safety-focused leader to drive the Safety Management System across a manufacturing site. The role emphasizes risk management, incident reporting, audits, and training to strengthen product safety and regulatory compliance.

You will lead a team of professionals, collaborate with enterprise SMS, and coordinate across GE sites to share lessons learned while advancing safety performance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree accredited college or 4+ years in manufacturing, quality, compliance, or SMS with a high school diploma
• Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing, quality, compliance, or SMS experience
• In-person attendance for New Hire Orientation on Day 1

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of the site’s SMS in alignment with enterprise SMS team and industry best practices.
• Facilitate risk identification, analysis, and mitigation with SAT/SRB teams.
• Prepare and submit product safety performance reports to required parties.
• Monitor site-level compliance with enterprise SMS policies through audits and inspections.
• Support product Safety Risk Management within change management initiatives.
• Provide SMS and Human Factors training across the site.
• Disseminate product safety information and drive improvement initiatives.
• Track safety performance metrics and identify trends for SRM improvements.
• Implement FLIGHT DECK standards to standardize processes and performance management.
• Manage a small to medium team of seniors and influence area strategy.
• Stay informed of industry trends to inform work.
