Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a senior-level Safety Management professional to lead the development, implementation, and continual improvement of the site’s Safety Management System (SMS) across the manufacturing environment. The role emphasizes strong judgment, policy alignment, and collaboration with enterprise teams to advance product safety performance.

The position requires at least 5 years in manufacturing quality or SMS, a bachelor’s degree, and willingness to travel up to 25% to supported GE

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree accredited college (or equivalent) with manufacture/quality/SMS experience.
• Minimum of 5 years in manufacturing, quality, compliance, or SMS.

Responsibilities

• Lead SMS development, implementation and maintenance aligned with enterprise SMS policies.
• Facilitate SRM through collaboration with SAT/SRB teams.
• Prepare and submit product safety performance reports to relevant boards.
• Monitor site-level SMS compliance and conduct safety audits.
• Support change management initiatives within product safety risk management.
• Provide SMS and Human Factors training to employees across the site.
• Drive product safety communications and cross-site collaboration to share lessons learned.
• Monitor safety performance metrics and support customer/regulatory audits.
• Implement FLIGHT DECK standards for daily management and problem solving.
