Job summary

GE Aerospace seeks a Senior Safety Manager to lead the Safety Management System (SMS) implementation and risk management across GE sites. The role requires high judgment, policy alignment, and the ability to influence across teams to meet safety, quality, and timeliness goals.

Responsibilities include facilitating SRM, conducting audits, developing training, and driving continuous improvement. Travel is expected up to 25% with remote eligibility and in-person onboarding on Day 1.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree accredited college (or equivalent with related experience)
• Minimum of 5 years in manufacturing, quality, compliance, or SMS

Responsibilities

• Lead SMS implementation aligned with enterprise standards.
• Facilitate risk identification, analysis, and mitigation through SAT/SRB collaboration.
• Prepare and submit safety performance reports to SMS stakeholders.
• Monitor site-level compliance with SMS policies and conduct audits.
• Support product safety risk management within change initiatives.
• Provide SMS and Human Factors training to employees across the site.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration across GE Aerospace sites to share lessons learned.
• Track and analyze product safety performance metrics to identify trends and drive improvements.
• Implement FLIGHT DECK standards to standardize processes and performance management across teams.
