Jolly Technologies Inc. is seeking a Product & Engineering Manager to lead our SaaS products with hands-on technical leadership. You began as a software engineer and progressed into engineering leadership with people-management responsibility, hiring, performance reviews, and staffing decisions.

You will manage distributed teams across multiple countries, own product priorities and roadmaps, translate priorities into plans, and ensure releases are on time with high quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a closely related technical field.
• Must have started career as a software engineer/developer.
• Proven record of excellent software development and technical problem-solving.
• Progression from hands-on software engineering into engineering/team leadership.
• Strong understanding of modern software architecture, development, testing, and deployment.
• Able to understand and evaluate a product at a deep technical level.
• Able to personally test, troubleshoot, reproduce, and validate software—not simply rely on QA.
• Able to configure and manage Jira independently without relying on IT or other administrators.
• Strong product judgment and ability to prioritize features based on business and technical value.
• Proven ability to lead, organize, and develop software engineering teams.
• Excellent communication and execution skills in a distributed, international environment.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage engineers, including hiring, performance management, coaching, and staffing decisions
• Build and lead distributed engineering teams across multiple countries, ensuring effective collaboration and accountability
• Own product priorities, roadmap decisions, and feature planning
• Decide what should be built, why it matters, and what should be prioritized
• Lead and manage engineering teams, including team structure and engineer assignments
• Translate product priorities into development plans, sprints, and releases
• Drive execution and ensure releases are delivered on time and at high quality
• Understand software architecture, APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure, and development workflows
• Personally investigate, reproduce, and test product issues when necessary; do not rely solely on QA reports
• Configure and manage Jira workflows, boards, projects, dashboards, and reporting directly
• Identify technical, product, resource, and delivery risks and drive them to resolution
• Work directly with engineers, QA, DevOps, and other technical teams
• Improve engineering processes, development practices, release quality, and team productivity
