Placements24 seeks an experienced HR Compliance Specialist to ensure adherence to labor laws and regulations in a remote-capable role based in Queenstown and beyond.

The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of SA labor legislation, strong audit skills, and the ability to implement and monitor HR policies across the organization. A proactive, detail-oriented professional is essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Law, HRM or Industrial Psychology.
• 3–5 years in HR compliance or labor-law related role.
• Knowledge of South African labor legislation (LRA, BCEA, EEA, SDA, BBBEE).
• Experience conducting HR compliance audits and risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies to ensure legal compliance.
• Conduct regular audits of HR practices and records to identify risks.
• Advise management on changes in labor legislation and necessary actions.
• Manage permits and licenses related to employment.
• Deliver training on HR compliance topics for staff and managers.
• Investigate and address compliance-related employee complaints.
• Maintain organized records of compliance activities and documentation.
• Liaise with legal counsel and regulatory bodies as needed.
• Promote a culture of ethical conduct and compliance.
• Prepare compliance reports for senior management.
