Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Law, HRM or Industrial Psychology.
• 3–5 years in HR compliance or labor-law related role.
• Knowledge of South African labor legislation (LRA, BCEA, EEA, SDA, BBBEE).
• Experience conducting HR compliance audits and risk assessments.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws and regulations.
• Conduct regular audits of HR practices, including recruitment, compensation, performance management, and employee records, to identify and mitigate risks.
• Stay abreast of changes in labor legislation and advise the HR department and management on necessary updates and actions.
• Manage the process of obtaining and renewing necessary permits and licenses related to employment.
• Develop and deliver training programs on HR compliance topics for employees and managers.
• Investigate and address employee complaints related to compliance issues.
• Maintain accurate and organized records of compliance-related activities and documentation.
• Liaise with legal counsel and external regulatory bodies as required.
• Develop and implement strategies to promote a culture of ethical conduct and compliance within the organization.
• Prepare and submit compliance reports to senior management.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Law, Human Resources Management, Industrial Psychology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in HR compliance, labor law, or a related legal/HR role.
• In-depth knowledge of South African labor legislation (e.g., LRA, BCEA, EEA, SDA, BBBEE).
• Proven experience in conducting HR compliance audits and risk assessments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote setting.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and HRIS systems.
• Experience in the logistics or supply chain industry is a plus.
