Job summary

SupplyHouse.com is seeking a Compliance Specialist to join our HR team. This remote role reports to the Senior Manager of Total Rewards & Compliance and focuses on managing HR compliance programs, policies, reporting, and processes to align with employment laws and regulatory requirements.

The position allows remote work with travel to Melville, NY six times per year for internal meetings. The role requires collaboration across HR, Fulfillment, and Customer Service, as well as SOP creation and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in a HR Generalist, HRBP, Employee Relations, or Compliance role.
• Experience managing employee relations matters and conducting workplace investigations.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Manage employee relations activities for the remote office team including corrective action, performance improvement plans, internal investigations, employee terminations.
• Advise HR and management regarding compliance with existing state and federal laws and new/pending legislation relating to Compensation, HR, Payroll and Benefits.
• Ensure compliance with FMLA, ADA, PFL, FLI, STD, LTD and other applicable legal, state, and federal regulations such as EEO, employment and labor laws.
• Maintain HR Compliance processes and policies and collaborate with partners across the organization to ensure compliance.
• Create SOPs for compliance policies and programs.
• Partner with HR, Fulfillment, Customer Service, and corporate teams in areas of new hire requirements (I-9, work authorizations, immigration, etc.).
• Conduct internal audits to identify areas of potential risk and implement process improvement in all areas related to HR Compliance.
