Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly motivated Remote HR Generalist to support our expanding international operations from anywhere in SA. You will handle employee relations, performance management, recruitment, and compliance across time zones, with focus on Paarl and Western Cape regions.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in HR or related field, 5+ years of experience, deep knowledge of South African labor law, and strong remote-work communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in HR/Business Admin or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive HR Generalist/HRBP experience.
• Strong knowledge of SA labor law and international HR practices.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working in a remote/global team.
• Proficient with HRIS and collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-cycle HR support to employees and managers remotely.
• Manage employee relations issues, investigations, and guidance per policy and law.
• Support performance management, goal setting, feedback, and annual reviews.
• Oversee recruitment and onboarding for new hires with a positive candidate experience.
• Ensure compliance with South African labor laws and understand international HR regulations.
• Develop and implement HR policies for a remote workforce.
• Serve as a point of contact for HR-related queries and support.
• Contribute to talent management, development, and succession planning.
• Utilize HRIS and tech platforms to manage employee data and processes.
• Foster a strong culture and engagement across a distributed global team.
