Qualifications

• 3+ years in HR compliance for remote or distributed teams.
• Experience interpreting federal, state, and local labor laws.
• Ability to write or revise HR policies and handbooks.
• Familiarity with HR audits, FMLA, ADA, EEOC regulations, and employment classifications.
• Strong written communication in an async environment.

Responsibilities

• Review and refresh policies to keep them current, fair, and understandable.
• Monitor labor law updates across states and countries.
• Guide managers through terminations, accommodations, audits, and related scenarios.
• Establish systems to anticipate and prevent issues and escalations.
• Support remote team compliance with training, reminders, and clear processes.
