Job summary

SMX is seeking a Mid Level S/4HANA SAP ABAP Developer for a government contract. You will translate requirements into designs and implement ABAP solutions, while potentially leading teammates and reviewing code for quality. The position is remote supporting a DC-area customer and requires a Public Trust clearance.

Candidates should have 3–5 years of ABAP experience, S/4HANA know-how, and a track record of integrating SAP with non-SAP systems. U.S. citizenship and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years SAP ABAP development for mid-level roles.
• Experience with S/4HANA.
• Experience integrating backend SAP and non-SAP apps.
• Hands-on ABAP development including CDS views.

Responsibilities

• Translate user requirements into technical design specs and develop ABAP solutions.
• Lead or mentor other developers, conduct code reviews, promote maintainable code.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure integration with SAP and external systems.
• Analyze requirements and provide recommended technical approaches.
