Job summary

SMX is seeking a Mid Level S/4HANA SAP ABAP Developer to support an SAP S/4HANA Greenfield implementation for a large government contract. The role is remote supporting a Washington, DC based customer and requires a Public Trust clearance.

Candidates should have 3–5 years SAP ABAP experience for mid-level, with broader SAP experience and S/4HANA familiarity. The position emphasizes ABAP development, integration of backend SAP and non-SAP apps, and expertise with ABAP technologies, Fiori, BTP,

Qualifications

Implementation experience with SAP Fiori and SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform).
Proficiency in web services, proxies, and APIs for system integration.
ABAP technologies including Reports, RFCs, Forms, OO ABAP, BAPIs, Enhancements, BADIs, User Exits, Customer Exits, and Data Conversions (BDC, LSMW, IDocs, ALE, Workflows).
Strong debugging and performance tuning of ABAP programs.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Public Trust clearance is required.
Ability to self-learn new UI technologies with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

Background check must be completed successfully prior to onboarding.
3–5 years SAP ABAP development experience for mid-level role; 6+ years for senior level.
Experience with S/4HANA.
Hands-on experience integrating backend SAP and non-SAP applications.
Hands-on ABAP development and HANA CDS Views.
