Job summary

Macmillan Learning seeks an Associate, Royalty Management, to support a small team in preparing, analyzing, and issuing royalty statements for authors and other parties. This developmental role provides a foundation in royalties and statement preparation toward a future Royalty Manager position.

The position is remote but tied to our New York office; two openings are available in Royalty Operations with cross-department collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 1-2 years of experience in royalty operations, publishing, or related accounting/finance.
• Familiarity with Biblio or a similar royalty platform a plus.
• Detail-oriented with strong Excel/Google Workspace skills and data handling.

Responsibilities

• Assist Senior Royalty Manager and others with royalty period-end and statement preparation.
• Collaborate to ensure accuracy of royalty terms in the Biblio system.
• Review banking and tax forms and assist with payee changes.
• Pull sales information for research and data cleanup.
• Edit and create manual statements; resolve errors and exceptions.
• Respond to royalty inquiries and support payment processes as needed.
