Job summary

Macmillan Publishers is seeking an Associate, Royalty Management to support a small team responsible for royalty statements for authors and contract parties. This developmental role offers exposure to royalty operations and progression toward a Royalty Manager role.

The position is remote but tied to our New York, NY office, with a salary in the $60,000–$65,000 range and a non-exempt status. Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in related finance roles and a Bachelor’s in accounting/finance.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in royalty operations, publishing, or related accounting/finance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with Biblio or a similar royalty platform is a plus.
• Book publishing experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with royalty period-end and statement preparation.
• Help ensure accuracy of royalty terms in the royalty system.
• Review banking and tax forms and assist with payee changes.
• Prepare and edit manual statements and respond to inquiries.
• Support payment processes and data reconciliation as needed.
