Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a Manager of the Remote Operations Center to lead a high-performing ROC engineering team responsible for monitoring and troubleshooting the wind fleet. The role focuses on scaling ROC capabilities, driving digital transformation, and delivering 24/7 value to field operations and global partners.

The role emphasizes strategic leadership, KPI governance, safety, and cross-functional collaboration to continuously improve reliability and performance across the fleet.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field (Advanced degree or MBA is a plus).
• Minimum 5–7+ years of experience in Wind Operations, Power Generation, or large-scale remote operations centers.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily leadership, mentorship, and career development for a team of ROC Engineers.
• Drive ROC standard work, optimize remote monitoring tools, increase fleet availability, decrease case duration and enhance customer experience.
• Manage operational budgets, staffing requirements, and shift scheduling to ensure 24/7 global coverage.
• Set and monitor KPIs for the ROC team (e.g., Mean Time to Repair, Alarm Management efficiency, Fleet Availability).
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring data-driven ROC insights are integrated into field maintenance and engineering cycles.
• Bridge the gap between Digital, Engineering, and Field Operations for seamless tech transfer and knowledge sharing.
• Sponsor ROC safety and compliance; ensure processes meet safety standards and internal protocols; drive Lessons Learned sessions.
• Ensure ROC practices comply with regional Grid Codes and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with Site Managers, Regional Leaders, and Product Engineering regarding fleet performance issues; communicate fleet health to leadership.
• Collaborate with Digital/Software teams to prioritize diagnostic tool development and fleet-wide logic improvements.
