Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Manager of the Remote Operations Center (ROC) to lead a high-performing team of ROC Engineers responsible for monitoring and troubleshooting the GE Vernova wind fleet. The role drives digital transformation, fleet availability, and strategic alignment with field operations and global engineering partners.

The position requires strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and a track record in wind operations or large-scale remote centers, with relocation assistance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum 5-7+ years of experience in Wind Operations, Power Generation, or large-scale remote operations centers.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily leadership, mentorship, and career development for a team of ROC Engineers.
• Drive ROC standard work, optimize remote monitoring tools, increase fleet availability, decrease case duration and enhance customer experience.
• Manage operational budgets, staffing requirements, and shift scheduling to ensure 24/7 global coverage.
• Set and monitor KPIs for the ROC team (e.g., Mean Time to Repair, Alarm Management efficiency, Fleet Availability).
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement; integrate ROC data-driven insights into field maintenance and engineering cycles.
• Bridge gaps between Digital, Engineering, and Field Operations for seamless tech/knowledge transfer.
• Sponsor ROC safety/compliance and ensure adherence to safety standards and internal protocols.
• Support incident reviews and drive Lessons Learned to prevent recurrence.
• Ensure ROC practices comply with regional Grid Codes and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate fleet health to leadership and coordinate with Digital/Software teams on tool development.
