Job summary

RemoExperts is seeking a Robotics Engineer to design, build, and deploy robotic software remotely. You will work on perception, localization, motion planning, and controls, validating performance in simulation and on hardware to ensure safe operation.

You will develop ROS2-based components in Python and C++, integrate sensors and actuators, and contribute to reusable architectures and testing procedures across distributed systems.

Qualifications

• Mid-senior experience shipping robotics features to production.
• Strong C++ and Python skills, including profiling and debugging.
• Hands-on experience with ROS2 and distributed robotics systems.
• Knowledge of SLAM/localization, sensor fusion, and state estimation.
• Understanding of motion planning, kinematics, and collision checking.
• Experience with control systems and simulation-to-real validation.
• Strong engineering fundamentals: testing, version control, CI/CD, code review.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement robotics software components (planning, perception, controls) in Python and C++.
• Build and maintain ROS2 nodes, message interfaces, and launch configurations.
• Implement SLAM, localization, mapping, and state estimation using sensor fusion (IMU, LiDAR, cameras, encoders).
• Develop motion planning and trajectory generation with collision checking and constraints.
• Tune controllers (PID/MPC) and validate stability, latency, and tracking error.
• Create simulation environments (Gazebo/Isaac/Unity equivalents) and run reproducible experiments.
• Integrate and debug hardware (sensors, actuators, compute, networking) and create test procedures.
• Define metrics (success rate, cycle time, drift, safety stops) and establish regression testing.
• Document architecture, interfaces, and operating procedures for scale and handoff.
