Job summary

Rex.zone is hiring a Mid‑Senior Robotics Engineer to design, integrate, and validate robotic capabilities across perception, localization, planning, and control. This is a distributed, simulation‑first role emphasizing reliability, safety, and measurable performance.

You will own robotics features end-to-end, build perception pipelines, and advance SLAM and planning with ROS2. The role requires hands-on development, simulation experience, and a bias toward robust, testable systems.

Qualifications

  • Mid-Senior level experience in robotics/autonomous systems engineering.
  • Strong Python and C++ proficiency; comfort with real-time/near-real-time constraints.
  • Hands-on ROS2 development, debugging, and system-level problem solving.
  • Understanding of SLAM, state estimation, and sensor fusion (EKF/UKF concepts).
  • Experience with simulation and CI-driven testing workflows for robotics.

Responsibilities

  • Own robotics feature development from requirements to deployment, monitoring, and reliability improvements.
  • Build perception pipelines (camera/LiDAR/IMU), calibration, synchronization, and sensor fusion.
  • Develop and tune SLAM/localization, mapping, motion planning, and robot control with clear metrics.
  • Integrate modules using ROS2 (topics, services, actions, TF frames) and maintain interfaces.
  • Create simulation scenarios (Gazebo) and automated test harnesses/regression suites.
  • Perform log analysis, root‑cause investigations, and document runbooks/architectures.
