Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Five or more years of robotics software engineering experience.
• Strong programming skills in C++ and Python.
• Hands-on experience with ROS or ROS 2 in production projects.
• Experience with sensor fusion and localization/mapping concepts.
• Experience with simulation environments (Gazebo, Isaac Sim, MuJoCo).
• Strong debugging skills for real-time and concurrent systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop robotics software in C++ and Python with emphasis on real-time performance.
• Design and integrate sensor data pipelines (cameras, LiDAR, IMUs, proprioceptive sensors).
• Implement perception, localization, and mapping with SLAM and sensor fusion.
• Develop motion planning, control, and trajectory generation under constraints for production robots.
• Build behavioral systems using state machines or behavior trees.
• Integrate ROS/ROS 2 with hardware and embedded systems.
• Implement safety-critical patterns including watchdogs and fault detection.
• Create and maintain Gazebo/Isaac Sim simulations for development and testing.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and ML engineers and document decisions.
• Design and execute field tests and data analysis.
• Maintain thorough documentation and onboard new engineers.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote knowledge sharing.
• Evaluate emerging robotics technologies and advise on adoption.
